What is an emergency and how do I respond?
An emergency means a life-threatening situation. What costs will I have to pay?
Transparency is very important to us – also when it comes to pricing. As veterinarians, we never lose sight of our goal – the health of your pet – and will discuss any necessary treatments with you in detail. Before we start treatment, we will be happy to explain in detail the costs you will face. Although our prices are based on the GOT, we cannot give exact all-inclusive information, since the respective expenditure varies individually.
Please also note that telephone consultations are also a veterinary service, and, in individual cases, we have to charge a smaller fee for a certain effort. Please do not hesitate to contact us in advance.
In addition, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee in individual cases if appointments are not cancelled or are cancelled at very short notice. If you can not keep your appointment, please contact us in advance to cancel.
How can I pay?
In the veterinary practice Iserbrook you can pay by EC card or cash directly after your visit.
Do I always need an appointment?
Yes and no. Since animal well-being is our top priority, we do not leave anyone at the door. Nevertheless, we ask you to call before your visit and make an appointment. This will save you and your animal a long wait and we can also usually organize appointments at short notice on an individual basis.
What types of animals and diseases do you treat?
The veterinary practice Iserbrook is a domestic veterinary practice and treats not only dogs and cats, but also birds and small animals (such as rabbits and guinea pigs). We have set a focus of interest in the field of small animal, dental and bird medicine, but every pet receives an appropriate treatment with us. We will be happy to advise you on all health issues and refer you to a specialist if your pet’s needs require it. Under Services you will find a detailed list of what we offer in our practice.
Can I park at your place?
Yes, you are welcome to do so. You can park your vehicle in the public parking lot of the Biomarkt (to the left of the practice building). The entrance to the practice is located on the far side of the parking lot. The reserved parking spaces are not for customers, but for residents.
Do you also consult by phone?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide a detailed consultation or diagnosis over the phone. However, we are happy to give patients who are currently undergoing treatment advice and information on health issues. For detailed information, please make an appointment with us at the Iserbrook veterinary practice.
Please note that telephone consultations are also a veterinary service, and in some cases we have to charge a small fee if a certain amount of work is involved. Please do not hesitate to contact us in advance.
What is the procedure for an operation?
Should your pet need surgery, we will provide you with all the important information in advance. We take a lot of time to clarify all open questions, to inform you about the risks of anesthesia and the likelihood of success of an operation. There is always a certain anesthesia risk, but we can minimize it thanks to our years of experience and modern technical equipment.
When you arrive for your surgery appointment with your sober dog, you may stay with him/her and accompany him/her as he/she falls asleep. We lovingly take over all other patients from you and carefully monitor the process of falling asleep. We administer a sedative injection and then induce inhalation anesthesia. Thanks to our intensive care monitoring, your pet will never be left unattended and will be continuously monitored even after the procedure.
Can I schedule a home visit with you?
Home visits are not part of our practice routine. However, in exceptional cases (such as euthanasia) we can visit you at home. In many other cases, home visits are rather unsuitable, as we do not have the veterinary equipment with us on the road to be able to make a diagnosis or carry out a treatment.
We help as fast as we can: Just call us to make an appointment on short notice.
We do not neglect anyone, but we ask you to call us even in urgent cases.
